The teardrop tattoo is probably one of the most-recognized prison tattoos of them all. As indicated earlier, there are many possible variations where meaning is concerned, but these are the most common. As an indication that the inmate has killed someone or who is mourning the loss of a loved one. It may also mean the wearer is facing a long prison term. A clear teardrop may indicate that the wearer is looking to exact revenge on someone else and intends to kill them.
