8. Aryan Brotherhood

Members of the Aryan Brotherhood may account for just 1 percent of all prison inmates, but they more than make up for it with their propensity for extreme violence. Up to 20 percent of all prison killings in U.S. prisons are carried out at the hands of the Aryan Brotherhood. The tattoos they display can be in the form of shamrocks or just the letters “AB.” They are also fond of Nazi symbols such as “SS” and the swastika. Not surprisingly, the gang is comprised of white supremacists who often believe that other racial groups are inferior to their own.
