Although it’s quite likely that shooting animals from inside a vehicle is illegal in every U.S. state, it’s perfectly OK to do it in California and Tennessee if the animal you are shooting at is a whale. Does it even make sense to be shooting at whales from your car? It seems unlikely, unless you have a boat standing by to retrieve it.
