Frankly, there are so many ways you can be hacked just by using an internet-connected computer that we would not even no where to begin. The best general advice is to avoid shady websites and don’t open suspicious e-mail messages. What’s “shady” and “suspicious?” Excellent question, and another topic for someone to write a book about. Your “gut feeling” is sometimes the only defense you have at your disposal.
