Yeah, we suppose the notion of hackers compromising a Playstation or Xbox doesn’t sound all that serious, but when you realize that these machines may be tied to online accounts that have personal and financial information stored on them, it starts to get people’s attention. And apparently you don’t always have to be a tech whiz in order to hack an Xbox. In fact, a 5-year-old boy in San Diego, California hacked into his dad’s Xbox Live account just by typing in any random word and then pressing the space bar on the keyboard when prompted for the password! His parents discovered the hack when they saw their son playing Xbox games he was not supposed to have access to. If a 5-year-old boy can hack a gaming system built by a huge corporation that’s headed by the world’s richest man, it kind of makes you wonder what else is possible.
