Elagabalus was a 3rd century emperor who had a reputation for forcing other people to follow his religious beliefs and also also may have been bi-sexual. Apparently his grandmother and aunt were not impressed with his behavior and they arranged his murder which took place in the emperor’s latrine. Adding insult to injury – or death in this case – his body were dragged through the streets and tossed into the Tiber River.
