10. Know What You are Paying For

Servers can make mistakes just like the rest of us, so it’s always a good idea to carefully review all the items you have been charged for and make sure it is accurate. Be aware that some restaurants will automatically add the gratuity to the total amount (especially for large groups), so unless you’re feeling particularly generous, be careful not to tip twice. Many establishments will inform patrons about their gratuity policy somewhere on the menu.
