7. Bigorexia

The name might sound like a joke, but bigorexia is the name for a bona fide disorder that is similar to anorexia in that the sufferer is on a seemingly endless quest to attain that which they perceive to be the “perfect” body. It occurs mostly in young men who become obsessed with working out, eating the “right” foods, taking supplements and in some cases using steroids. Never reaching the point where they are satisfied with their body, they often lack self-esteem and are ashamed of their “imperfect” body, no matter how sculpted and impressive their physique.
