2. Ready, Aim, Fire!

We might normally think of ants as kind of dumb little critter. All we usually see them do is dig holes, carry stuff around and crawl about in a seemingly aimless fashion. But that doesn’t mean they cannot cause us pain. The fire ant is a species with a particularly nasty sting that’s responsible for their charming name. Being stung by one of these little monsters is bad enough, but what about being stung by a bunch of them at exactly the same time? Well, that’s how they operate. Experts are not sure how they do it, but they somehow manage to make sure they are all in place for an attack their victim will not forget before they all strike in unison.
