5. Chinese Crested

It appears that the small breeds have the upper hand where weird is concerned so far, and the Chinese Crested is probably one of the most unique-looking animals of the bunch. With it’s wild, out-of-control-looking hair, it almost looks as of it may have been on the receiving end of an electric shock. The hairless variety of this breed is particularly unusual since the only place it has hair is on its head, paws and tail. As the name suggests, the breed originated in China, Africa and Mexico and is the smallest breed on our list, normally weighing around 10 to 13 pounds.
