A researcher at Queens University in Canada wondered whether women had a tendency to walk with a more “welcoming” gait when they had high levels of sex hormones in their system. She measured the hormone levels of the study’s participants and then showed video clips of the women walking to a group of men. Sure enough, the results left no doubt that the women definitely walked differently when their hormone levels were higher, and that men instinctively recognized this and rated their movement as more attractive. The researcher was so surprised at the results that she decided to repeat the experiment with a different group of participants to confirm the study’s accuracy. Accuracy confirmed.
