8. Amazing Fish Story

We’ve all heard the tall tale about the one that got away, but the biggest known fish in the world was, in fact, landed by fishermen in Thailand after an hour-long struggle. The massive catfish weighed in at an astonishing 646 pounds and was 9 feet in length. Fisheries officials had hoped to remove its eggs for captive breeding and release it unharmed but the giant fish did not survive and was eaten by local villagers. That was probably one instance when a single fish fed an entire village!
