2. K2

From one extreme to the other. The mountain known as K2 rises 28,244 feet above the earth on the Pakistan/China border region. Although Everest is certainly more well-known as a dangerous adventure even for expert climbers, K2 may be too extreme for any climber. Everest has seen its share of climbers conquer the summit during winter, but nobody has dared to take on K2 during winter. With powerful winds and temperatures that drop as low as –76F degrees below zero, K2 probably has some of the most dangerous weather on earth.
