5. Cassowary

When we think of deadly creatures, birds do not often come to mind. The cassowary is the exception to the rule. It’s normally content to mind its own business and tends to shy away from people, but this formidable bird can stand over 6 feet tall and is equipped with an extremely sharp claw on each of their feet. When they feel threatened, they are able to leap into the air and use the claw as a weapon to pierce or tear their victim, and quite possibly inflict serious or fatal injuries.
