Whether detecting contraband leaving the country is any more difficult than detecting it coming in we do not know, but we do know that agents working the outgoing side of things have made some pretty impressive finds. Agents working the Douglas, Arizona border crossing found $200,000 in cash packed inside of a spare tire that was attached to the underside of a truck. Perhaps the driver should have considered packing a spare lawyer instead of a spare tire for that particular trip.
