For an out-of-work laborer, winning the lottery is probably the ultimate dream come true. Edwards was one of the winners of a $295 million Powerball drawing and he took home $42 million. For a while, life was great. He purchased a new home, complete with its own golf course, and he bought expensive sports cars. Unfortunately, some people are unable to resist the lure of the “dark side” and both he and his wife were arrested on drug charges. Their $1.2 million home fetched just $400,000 when it was auctioned off.
