7. Me, Myself and I(phone)

When in a social setting, it might be nice to actually be social. Going to a party or some other social event and sitting in the corner texting your friend or playing Angry Birds is just rude. A quick check of your messages once in a while is understandable, but showering more attention on your phone than you do on your fellow human beings makes you look dysfunctional. Did we mention rude? Chances are good that your smartphone or some other device that will replace it some day will always be there for you. The same thing isn’t true for all those friends or relatives that are in the same room with you.
