9. Not So Sweet

In the state if Illinois legislators seem to believe that eating candy is a vice. Well, that might be stretching it a bit, but what other reason would they have for coming up with a tax for something wonderful like candy? Any candy sold in Illinois is subject to a additional taxes unless the ingredients include flour. So what does that make them? A pastry? And that’s less decadent than candy?
