Lord knows we all look forward to our next friendly telephone call or e-mail from the NSA or CGHQ. What’s that you say? You’ve not had the privilege of being contacted by a government spy agency for a nice chat? That certainly makes one wonder why they have such an intense interest in contact lists. You know, the kind you have on your smart phone or in your e-mail program on your PC with all your friends’ and relatives’ names, addresses, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses in. Those are just the kinds of contact lists that the NSA and their friends like to collect. Think of it like a kindly old neighbor who likes to collect stamps. Perhaps not. The NSA claims they are only collecting contact lists from sources outside the United States, but that doesn’t provide much comfort for anyone with more than two brain cells. To say nothing of our friends overseas who they straight-up admit spying on!
