Another interesting revelation that came to light in the wake of the Edward Snowden affair is that the NSA has actually hacked systems belonging to well-known internet companies. With millions of users logging in to search for something on the internet or read their e-mails, some of these companies represent a potential treasure trove of information that the NSA is all too happy to sink their digital teeth into. It’s great how the government is so anxious to persecute hackers that deface various company or government-owned computers and networks while they do the same thing themselves. “Do as I say and not as I do” would be a fitting motto for a number of government agencies.
