7. Frightening Test Results

Since the big biotech companies decided that testing these new genetically modified foods was a waste of time, others have conducted their own tests and the results are not encouraging. Here are just a few results from tests conducted on GMO foods:

• Rats that fed on GMO potatoes had smaller, partially atrophied livers.
• Mice that were fed GMO soy had their liver cells altered.
• Over 50 percent of rats that were born from mothers that were fed GMO soy died within three weeks.
• One in four sheep that grazed on BT cotton after harvest died within a week.
• Some two dozen farmers in the U.S. reported increased sterility in pigs or cows after they were fed BT corn.

Is it any wonder that a surge in the popularity of organic food has been occurring over the last few years.
