It’s not uncommon in many places for people dining outdoors to encounter problems with insects who want a share of what we are having. Well, there are some species of bee that actually want even more than that! This little invader wants a drink from your eye! Although they will happily grab a sip of any sweat they happen to find, research that was carried out in Thailand revealed that these bees actually went out of their way to quench their thirst on a person’s tears. They are also unsettlingly good at what they do, they are often able to come in for a drink from the eye of a person who never even realized that they were used as a human watering hole.
