What makes this cat unique is its ears. Instead of standing up like the ears on most cats, the Scottish Fold lives up to its name with ears that are smaller than usual and are folded forward. When they are born, the kittens appear to have normal ears but in about three weeks, they begin to fold, giving them that distinctive appearance.
