As we all know, there are very strict rules and regulations that must be adhered to for those living in or visiting places like Saudi Arabia. Even so, two young men didn’t think offering free hugs to strangers would get them into trouble. They were wrong. After being inspired by the success of another Saudi man who had successfully dispensed free hugs in other countries and posted video of his actions on YouTube, a man named Abdulrahman Khayyal and one of his friends decided to give it a go in their own country. It didn’t take long for the Mutawa, the country’s religious police, to swoop in and put a stop to the excessive display of affection. They were arrested but there was no word on what happened to them after that.
