6. Enjoy, But Not Too Much

This is probably one of the weirdest of the bunch. We know Nevada tends to do things their own way, what with the Bunny Ranch and all, but this one is a real head-scratcher. Businesses are responsible for paying a tax that ranges between 5 and 10 percent if they are providing live entertainment. However, certain businesses such as restaurants, may be exempt if the entertainment they provide satisfies the following criteria: “Instrumental or vocal music, which may or may not be supplemented with commentary by the musicians, in a restaurant, lounge or similar area if such music does not routinely rise to the volume that interferes with casual conversation and if such music would not generally cause patrons to watch as well as listen.” Wow, we wonder if they actually try to police that one!
