Government spy agencies are not limited to simply vacuuming up vast amounts of data and sifting through it later for juicy tidbits of information. When they are particularly interested in someone, they have the ability to set up a live alert in order to spy on them in real time. An alert can be created to notify spy agency operatives when a “target” sends an e-mail message, logs onto a social networking site, sends a text and probably just about anything else they can do that involves electronic communications. It’s bad enough for them to be collecting data from just about everyone, but when you become a “target,” you can be sure that someone is listening in every time you make a phone call or send a e-mail message, and they’re listening as you’re talking or just after you click on “Send.”
