6. Walmart Gang Killings

Both the United States and Canada got caught up in this bogus story when word somehow spread that some criminal gangs were requiring new members to kill a woman or a child at a Walmart store as part of their initiation. This myth was similar to another ridiculous story about gang members who were killing motorists who flashed their headlights at them. That was also said to be part of a gang initiation. It sounds like this story may have been cooked up by people who had  beef with Walmart for one reason or another.
