Yes indeed, citizens of the world, you will surely sleep better at night knowing that some countries in the European Union are taxing cow farts. Since bovine flatulence is believed to be a leading cause of global warming, politicians and government bureaucrats came up with a tax that will undoubtedly benefit all of us, and help fatten their bank accounts at the same time. Farmers in Ireland pay $18 per cow to excuse their herd’s socially unacceptable gaseous emissions while those on Denmark get slapped with a $110-per-cow tax.
